: Do I need a TV Licence?
You need a TV Licence to use any television receiving equipment such as a TV set, set-top boxes, video or DVD recorders, desktop computers, laptop computers or mobile phones to watch or record TV programmes as they are being shown on TV.

: It's not my TV so do I need to pay for the licence?
Yes. If you've signed a joint tenancy agreement with your housemates, you'll only need one TV Licence to cover all the TV receivers in your house.

: Do I need another TV Licence if I also have a TV in my bedroom?
If you've signed a joint tenancy agreement, then no. If you've signed separate tenancy agreements, then you will need a TV licence of your own.

: What happens if I don't get a TV Licence?
If you don't have a licence whoever is found watching TV when an Enforcement Office comes to visit is the one who risks prosecution and a fine of up to £1,000.

: How do I know what my TV Licence number is?
Simple. We text it to all the tenants and you can view your TV licence from your online portal. You may be required to show the TV Licence officers your TV licence if required.
